Start Your Career with an Apprenticeship
Real skills. Real work. Real pay. (And no boring lectures either.) Okay, fine — there are a few boring lectures... but we promise to keep them as fun as humanly possible.
What is an Apprenticeship?
It’s a job, a wage, and a qualification all rolled into one. You’ll earn while you learn — and gain hands-on experience with engineers who actually do the job every day.
This isn’t classroom learning in disguise. Expect tools, tasks, and training that gets you job-ready from day one.
What You’ll Need
- Genuine interest in plumbing, gas, or green heating systems.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to work hard and learn.
- Respect for customers, property, and the people you’ll train with.
- Readiness to find an employer — don’t worry, we’ll support you.
📘 Maths and English GCSEs are helpful — especially for gas and low temp — but not essential. We’ll help you complete Level 2 Functional skills in both subjects if needed.
Finding an Employer
We’ve got contacts — and we’ll support you every step of the way — but you’ll also need to show initiative. The best apprentices go out and get noticed.
That might mean knocking on a few doors, emailing a few local companies, or asking someone you know in the trade. We’ll help you build your confidence and make a great impression.
💡 A good attitude beats a polished CV every time.
What learning looks like with our Apprenticeships
Apprentices spend 1 week out of every 4 at our dedicated training centre in Nottingham, with the remaining 3 weeks developing their skills on-site with their employer/mentor.
